Research Services

The Society offers a friendly and efficient research service for people unable to find wanted information themselves. We do not charge for research undertaken if they are relatively simple enquiries. If more extensive research is undertaken a donation is requested to help cover the time and effort of our research officers at their discretion.

Research by mail can obtained by writing to Mackay Historical Society and Museum Inc. at P.O. Box 1349, Mackay, Queensland 4740, Australia.
Letters should include all relevant information known, to aid our researchers. Please include a stamped self addressed envelope for a reply.

Research by Internet can be faster and cheaper, and may be obtained by E-mailing the Research Officer at the society at with your enquiry.

Research in person at present can be conducted during opening hours.

A donation is requested to help cover the time and effort of our research officers at their discretion.

Photocopying fees are 20 cents per A4 sheet and 40 cents per A3 sheet.

Copies of photographs depending on copyright status per consultation.

$4.00 per image burnt on CD (600 dpi JPG file)

$5.00 per image copied on A4 photographic paper.

Postage fees per consultation.
